We take great care with personal information that is provided to us online, taking steps to keep it secure and ensure it is used only for legitimate purposes.

What do mediary® do with participant information?

Any information obtained via this web site, or any other web site managed by mediary® will be used for the purposes of the users carrying out appointment and meetings bookings and communicating in respect of those arrangements and in respect of other services offered by us.

This information allows users to process appointments and to send confirmations by email or SMS (text) message. The system asks for your mobile telephone number so that the users can send sms text messages to inform you of possible appointment changes.

What security do we use to protect your information?

When you conduct a transaction on-line, we use secure applications that protect all information you send to us. This ensures that the information is reasonably protected against unauthorised interception or 'hacking'.

Does mediary® disclose information it collects to outside parties?

Information gathered does not include your 'personal' information. Only your name, mobile telephone number, and email address is recorded. This contains your relationship as a professional one only with your ‘customers’, the primary care practices. The Primary Care Practices are our clients in the context of Health Insight Ltd providing a technology to manage their relationship with suppliers. Data about the availability of appointments and the appointments used by company representatives is available to pharmaceutical companies. Individual identities (name and employer) is never revealed to anyone other than your employer and the practice healthcare professionals. (i.e. Your name or employer cannot be revealed to third parties such other medical companies).
In the case of healthcare professionals within the practice details provided to us by you or your representatives for inclusion in the mediary® appointments management system will include your name and practice address and information which relates to your professional interests only. This information in whole or part can be made available to the pharmaceutical companies that subscribe to the mediary® service, to enable them to more accurately assess your needs in terms of targeting information for you as well as to facilitate appointments. You may ask to see what information we hold about you, and you may ask for that information to be changed or removed from the system at any time by contacting us at our head office.
The relationship between NHS primary care practices, their practitioners and employees and commercial providers such as pharmaceutical or medical supplies companies is subject to the Freedom of Information acts. Regardless of any technology supplier such as Health Insight Ltd, anyone may apply to the appropriate NHS department seeking information about companies’ relationships with any NHS service provider such as primary or secondary care.
